Brawn

Going on the tripe thread. When I was younger, I lived on a pig farm.
It was not unusual, to come home to find a whole pigs head, boiling away in a massive pan on the cooker.

Boiled pigs brain. Anyone try that?

 

No and never will .

 

The wifey used to have sheep’s brains on toast. Would never have kissed her if I’d know that before

being the oldest in my home it would appear I am the only one who likes Liver and Onions and Steak and Kidney.

 

I have eaten brawn. And jellied eels. My father came from New Eltham.

 

Only once, and that was when we lived in Hong Kong.

 

I used to BBQ crispy pigs ears.

 

My son recently went to China, and I asked him what he thought of eating chickens feet. He said you just suck out the goodness, and throw the rest away

 

Yep - they won the F1 title in 2009 - you need brains to do that

 

It’s funny how some of you find the idea of it bad. But processed food has to be worse, dosnt it?

 

Had a brain curry a few years ago, tip top.

 

My mother used to make Brawn, but just the half a head (very Damien Hirst) very tasty but I'm pretty sure there was no brains in it, we also called it pigs cheek.

 

I don't find it bad it's just preference . I do like me offle liver kidney sweet bread but not pigs head ...iam filthy enough already .

 

Mr Wong's Tooting high street in the 70s god knows what he used to serve us but I don't think it was chicken

I've got one of their beard trimmers

 

We still use trotters for Bean jars.
Curried fruit bat was just slosh and bones.

 

Still eat hearts, when you can get them.
