Has anyone experienced buying the rear brake kit from VW Heritage? https://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spare...ses=TYPE 2 BAY&esp_filter_years=1975&esp_pg=2 Seems to be very good for value, but would like to know the quality?
I bought that kit.... Unsure how you qualify quality...I fitted and it all seems fine, the springs are thinner than original so I used the originals. Only other issue I had was the locator springs that locate and tension the shoes using the pins from the backplate didn't compress enough, I had to file them flush on the ends. Drums, shoes and pistons are as good as any I've used in the past bar full monty Mintex kits, but then these aren't at the same price point.
