A tree has fallen down over the access road to my workshop and I can't get in today. I was going to spend the day rust-treating the entire underside of a bus. I've already spent 2 days chipping off the old brittle underseal. It's nice under there but a bit dry where the og underseal (or the paint in some places!) didn't get to at all which is interesting. Also water has been held under the failing underseal destroying the paint and starting the rust process. Being a dry yankee bus it's minor surface rust. No wonder buses on our salty roads didn't last long. A day off the right way up won't hurt.
at least it wasnt the other tree, yes laying on your back doing something pleasureable is good for you now and again , last time i did it i got covered in petrol . Im in tidy up my life and whats around me mode at the moment , it makes you feel good when you have loose ends sorted i think, so better go and do some more
Free campfire wood get ur chainsaw out @zed Or are you like me and prefer getting the professionals in to sort it whilst you watch with a brew?
Not my site, not my tree, landlady has organised it's removal as she'd be responsible if any of us got hurt or something like that.
Sore. I think the thing that *******es me off the most is that I can't do ANYTHING and simple things like carrying your own cup of tea are impossible with 2 elbow crutches.
I'm jet lagged. It's the middle of the night here(nz) and yet again I'm wide awake. On the plus side I'm going to an amazing breakers yard later(smash palace/horopito motors). I'll post some pics up later.
What did you have done dude? Can you put a brew in one of those camelback things - or perhaps better - fill a hot water bottle with a brew?

Tumor removal from left leg. Owch. I've got a month off to recover. Not sure what one of those "camelback things" is - can you explain? I couldn't carry a hot water bottle either - no free hands.
Camelbak, cyclist use them, little rucksack with a plastic bladder in and drinking tube that comes over the shoulder so you can drink as you ride.
You have my sympathy. I had a knee op a couple of years ago and crutches made it impossible to do anything. I used to keep a carrier bag in my pocket so that I could go and get stuff and bring it back hanging on the hand part of the crutch. Didn't work for cups of tea though. Maybe get a teasmaid on a table close by?
