Bought a set of Boge shocks from Machine 7 but see that when I go to fit them the ends are different. Still the same size but a narrower bush. Are they ok to use?
we used Boge shocks all round on the westy - the steel tube that passes through the rubber bush will be the same as your old one. Fit & forget!
They should be fine. Mine were the same, as I recall. Just clamp the tube up. As @paradox says, you may find old tubes rusted on to the studs - had me fooled!
yeh i fitted new all round does seem a bit strange but they do work , the stud nut does look a bit big ,i put grip washer on too. worth fitting new stearing damper while your at it . One of my tubes rusted on as above , ground slot in it as per zeds advice and peeled it off it had rusted on to stud .
