What a shiite week! Massive staffing issues for Xmas period, got to the weekend and found I'm ill. So ill in fact that I couldn't eat or drink last night (those that know me will realise how SERIOUS this is!) No better today and have the energy level of a defunct Chinese battery. :-( No chance of making the big pi55 up tonight and a beautiful weekend lost. Can't even get out in the garage. ARSE!
Sorry to hear that TBR.....'tis the season for feeling sh*te......kids have been dropping like flies with sickness/squits for the last fortnight... never mind! make up for it over Christmas
I've been off all last week with some goddamn awful vommy bug, I've not had coffee all week couldn't face it. Anyone who knows me will know that's a sign that I'm near death. Feeling g much better today, going to brave a cafetiere tomorrow morning
Well - it's about time you all started taking Vitamin C. I would have poo-pooed the idea until I read Linus Pauling's book "How to feel better and live longer" (?) - he's a double Nobel prize winner - I now now take at least 2g (that's 2000mg when the recommended daily amount is only 60mg) of vitamin C powder (1/2 teaspoon) in a glass of orange juice everyday - building up gradually from 500mg. If I feel a sore throat coming on double the amount to one tsp for a day or two. I have been doing this for 3 years now and have not had flu or a cold since - buy it at Holland and Barrett when it is on offer. The pharmaceutical companies like to put the story around that it is rubbish and Pauling himself had a hard time of it from them - people will say you pee it all away - but does that stop you drinking liquids - and you cannot store VitC. OK - rant over - ignore me if you like - but it does work - read the book for the evidence
I havn't been sick for ages / the last time it was food poisning from chicken , some of that compact tractor boly stuff
That's not good mate. I won't buy any bread over Christmas and tell my friends and family to do the same. Hope that takes the pressure off abit.
on the upside TBR, i was chatting to a customer on the phone t'other day who was also a miller. i mentioned you in relation to VW's and he knew immediately who you were and told me that whenever you were at the young millers do's "it was NEVER going to be an early night and ALWAYS going to be a messy one!" (can't remember his name atm but he was from suffolk) p.s. the lurgy will pass
