Evening My van went to Interpro rolling road near Bristol because it was playing up. Jason went through the engine top to bottom. 2ltr type IV with twin weber ict 34's .He said standard BHP is usually 70. The first run produced 54bhp at 70mph, He then- Carried out compression test Regapped plugs and refitted Checked and adjusted tappets Checked timing/set ignition timing Modified throttle linkage to get full opening Checked maninfold for air leaks Reset jetting fitted larger mains as lean at topend I ended up with a mahoosive 62bhp at 77mph. It might have psychological but the bus was flying on the way home I now have five pretty coloured power curve charts to look at! If they are near you I would recommend Him .I will be going there if I ever get any problems. Hope that helps
Jason at Interpro did mine as well. I reckon that achieving 61bhp out of the original 68bhp is quite good for an old (history unknown) stock engine. What I was amazed at, was losing 24bhp in the drive chain.
Hello there My 'original' 1776 (prior to it being rebuilt with new piston, barrell & new heads was put on rolling road to tune the Webers Setup then: 1776 110 cam Twin Weber IDF 40 (Emulsion Tubes F11, Air Correction Jets 180, Main Jets 115, Idle Jets 60, Choke Size 28) EMPI exhaust Since then I have the following changes: 2 new Euromax heads 123 Distributor VW Speedshop Side Exit Exhaust (http://www.vwspeedshop.com/product.php?productid=16760&cat=0&page=1 originally the figures were: Max Torque at 3850 RPM = 149.3 nm at 41 mph Engine Power 93 BHP at Flywheel Engine Power 76 BHP at Wheels I reckon shes far better than that now, will be taking it back in when funds permit for a new rolling road session Hope this helps

To be fair to them they dont normally do VW Vans... but I wasnt impressed and would rather spend my money elsewhere.
