Hi, im after buying a load of panels for my 1973 RHD t2 ive just bought, wondering best place to buy them all in bulk. i need both front steps (inner bit and outer section)? the windscreen scuttle rear left corner both rear quarter battery tray either side of the cab floor preferably just repair sections probably need some more but where do people buy from? The front steps are pooh go for the whole wing cost lots more but are much much better I've found schofields best and if you phone you can have a laugh with the nice lady she will tell you what you want and the quality of said panels
get genuine front arches £259 each most places windscreen repair will mean buying a complete front panel , repro, £140 most place when you say 1/4 do you mean the big side panel with the window in? £2-400 genuine most places, if its just the arch, arche panels are £25 ish repro most places battery trays genuine most places £20 ish cab floors, the best ones are from AH Schofields £60 a half, much better than JK ones corners? full £200 ish genuine , repro lower panel £18 most place are VW Heritage Just Kampers AH Schofields Cool Air GSF
replacing most of the most end, if i replaced the full front panel and steps and arches in one which way would be best to start? should i do the arches and steps first and then the front panel?
i will do a proper thread for a full resto when its in storage, ive only just got it today so its sat on my drive atm
i just got my front arches from jk and was happy with them £90 each and the person who fitted them said they were no trouble but the rear were not so good
I just fitted a cheap front arch and it's Marmitee. I looked like it had been welded together on the floor in some 3rd world country with a mig. It had holes blown in it.
i fitted a cheapo front arch and i hate it! well worth buying the decent stuff. i'll replace it at a later date! coolair give 10% discount (i deal with mostly as they have great customer service) heritage give 5% discount (i deal with sometimes, but not as much as the other two) jk will give you a tailored discount if you call them (i deal with too as their uk made panels are the tits!)
Best floor repair panels anyone? I just got one delivered that seems to be made of tin-foil but it is hard to find proper descriptions or pictures of them.
cab or load? got my load floor from coolair, got genuine ones and they're nice and thick just ordered a jk cab floor repair panel as they're their new uk built ones and the other stuff like that i bought was really good quality!
Cab - I ordered the left and right from two different places because of out of stocks. Only had the left delivered so far so waiting to see what the other one is like before I , probably, send it back.
