Hi all, Welcome to my thread about Bertie the Bus. He is a late 1972 Westfalia and was originally Orange when he left the factory. The PO has painted him a nice shade of blue but decided to paint all the door handles, the locks, the mirrors, window rubbers......basically everything ! My wife and I bought him a couple of days ago and plan to use him for regular trips in the UK so first thing we want to do is to make sure he is running properly. I have an appointment with a mechanic mate on Saturday to give him a once over. Other than that we want to re do the home made interior, end enjoy! ^-^ ^-^ Yesterday I ordered a new set of pressed alloy black and silver number plates and also got some spare keys cut just in case. Anyway.....here are the pics....... More to come at the weekend
