Anyone coming to the Crich show again this year?? Little, but good. Free entry if you're in a classic van http://www.tramway.co.uk/events/beetle-drive
Already have plans for that weekend but it was good last year. For those looking to camp there's a little caravan and camping club site about a mile away, its not the greatest site but is very convenient, you can even see the trams running from your pitch http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=10962
We might be up for this one again... Took the Scoobyblue last year it was a good day a few of us met up at McDonalds in Chesterfield! Might be taking Scooby and our new addition... Jasper the 71 Beetle!!!
We went last year and didn't book - you can just turn up, and if you're in a 'historic vehicle' the driver gets in for free, and you get to put your van in the display and drive round in the parade, rather than just park in the car park. We were taken aback by this though, as our van certainly isn't show quality, but that didn't seem to matter! Not sure if you have to arrive by a certain time for that, though. Not sure if we're going to it this year - I think we've got other plans that weekend.
Went last year without van for a look and "cruise " down street looked good. Hoping to go this year with van...it's weekend after we return from touring Scotland...so fingers crossed.
This was us forming a queue last year before the drive through..... The main street.... Parked up with some other TLBers....
hahaha BEWARE MY FRIENDS, strange things happen at Crich Tramway Museum! There are many things under a caravan that can kill you @Birdy
Can't make this year...boo hoo...we've gone for the past 5 years and it's a great day out. The best bit is that you can drive down the street blowing your horn http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/wilmas-beetle-drive-pictures-2012.16496/
As it was such a glorious day we pottered up the A6 to Crich and had a good time with a great turnout. I have stuck some pictures on the blog. Simon
