Henry Tudor or Henry VII, a member of the Lancaster house, defeated the last Yorkist king Richard III in 1485. He then married Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV who was the first Yorkist king of England, to unite the two houses and create the House of Tudor. So it was the Cockneys
