Apparently the appraiser liked my bus: (I had it appraised because I want to insure it, even in its unfinished state).
Just received all locks and the steering column back from a VW lock specialist in my home country (The Netherlands). When I bought my bus, there were no keys at all to be found. Even the steering column was locked. As it appears, the sliding door lock was completely damaged so we decided to buy a NOS one with original corresponding VW key (both have the same key code). All the other locks were modified to the new key, so from now on I just need one key for all locks on the bus. I'm not sure how many bays still have the same locks on all doors, but at least mine does.
Thank you! Today was also well spent. Mind you, I've never seen my bus in a finished state. I bought it completely disassembled. It was great to have the dashboard painted & installed today!
