there's a vacancy for an assistant to a one armed window cleaner in the evening standard, give it a ring you never know
hehehe! I work for an architects and they think they are right all the time .... just started them arguing between themselves! tee hee!
building the future ?? why not be an architect?? your right they do always "think their right" , dont be a solicitor they" know they are"?? sorry dont think i can help with work but ? where are you anyway , what salary level are you looking at ?? good luck too.
I have a real dislike for architects, had been working for them about a week when a CAD plan came in from the escalator manufacturer for a sectional drawing of a big Boots store I was working on but something wasn't quite right, it wasn't long enough so I asked the architect in charge what he wanted me to do & he said stretch it to fit I handed my notice in the very next day!
Had a very similar thing about 2million times with my job , but it wont fit in ceiling space , der why dont you lower the ceiling ermm mr architect do we need to comply to hns requirements and you put height on ceiling drawings and is this building for midgets coz you already only have 2.150 ceilings oh flatten the vent out make it fit , but it will be too wide then and so you wont get the other services in and recessed lights, oh you sort it out then im off to pub, jokers building looks cool though doesnt it yar.
LOL IVE STARTED SOMETHING HERE.... I gave up years ago I just do as I'm told now and get paid but they love to pass the blame!
I'm doing the same! It's not too bad once you get used to it. Doff your cap, tug at the forelock and take their money!
Bloimey im doing a job for an arrchitect and ive had a bad day ,,who wants to swap for a couple of days
I Send an email to the offender/ nobed to cover my ass then switch off the pooter and make a brew. Six months down the line when it all goes wrong the electronic finger of blame points directly at them as they generally ignore my emails. Now sit back feel smug and make another brew Ps Most jobs are the same. Same sh?t different faces.
In the past 25 years I haven't worked in any environment where people didn't work in a team and go out of their way to make each others lives easy and straightforward. No blame culture's either in all that time apart from a bit of ******* taking. Now I work on my own I know it's all my own fault.
I was "downgraded" to humble labourer (site work) , had it"s advantages ,total non responsibility for anything, lean on my shovel and stock reply to any question was " don"t ask me ,I'm only the labourer" <wot I was reminded off constantly by my "betters"> same with truck driving " I'm only a driver"(u listening P.T.2?)
Yes mate I hear you! Only I'm beginning to think of that old saying " If you don't use it, you lose it".
