Hi everybody, I first joined tlb back in Sept 2012 (good grief was it that long ago?!) when we were looking for our first van -http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/wanted-1970s-vw-pop-top.16694/ Well, you can see from my avatar that we took the plunge and got ourselves a lovely green 1978 Westy. Imported from the US and bodywork restored by Restore and More based here in the NE. Next big job on our list is to start sorting out the interior. Will be obviously trying to keep as many things original as possible but will also be looking at buying some new bits too. Looking forward to getting started on the next stage of the restoration and getting out and about in her this year. When we got her back from her bodywork job in July I was 35 weeks pregnant so could barely fit behind the wheel!!!!! Look forward to hopefully becoming part of tlb community over the next few months and beyond!
Thanks! We wanted to keep the original colour. Got lovely original green tartan upholstery to match. Rest of the furniture looking a bit tired though!
