I need to change my wiper blades but I think I remember people having trouble getting hold of new blades for Aussie wiper arms? I am thinking of replacing the arms but before I order a pair just checking that they should just bolt straight on - I can't see any reason why not but I have this vague memory of a couple of threads about people on here having trouble with Aussie wipers :(

blades are blades - arms i suppose will be upside down? not meant as a joke by the way - for those who don't know aussie vans wipe the correct way (as do lhd vans) giving you a clear screen as the driver rather than a curved section on a rhd. Bern, why don't you pm baysearcher or midlife, both of these have aus vans and have had for a while - they may know.

Blades are the same - arms are handed. The uk put up with LHD wipers, the Aussies built VW's and insisted on having them the right way round to clear the drivers part of the screen better.

Hang onto your arms Bern, but any old blades will do.

What zed said. I've never found Aussie wiper arm replacements unfortunately.
Someone ages ago said they had some but nothing ever came of it.
