Long shot I know, but anyone got an Aussie wiper mech and motor?
    Mines had it.
    Cheers

  2. Is it definately the motor, the spindles do seize from time to time

    I don't know!
    Tech thread coming up....

  4. You can pop the link arms off without removing the rack. Once they're not connectes to the motor give the arms a wiggle and you'll soon know

If you struggle could you not pop out the grommets and move them across to the other holes then replace your mech with a normal euro one?
    Just thinking out loud?
let us know how you get on as I have an OZ one

    Cheers both!
Hadn't thought about swapping it over, could be a good shout!
The spindles move again now @Beaver, but painfully slowly....

Just out of interest mate I looked on the JK Australia site, they are selling the same bits as the uk and they appear interchangeable, motor and spindles within the oz wiper frame ?

    Curiouser and curiouser....
I know nothing about motors but surely the motors go opposite ways?

  9. Lube them right up

Course if you fit euro wiper arms you'll get the sweep in your vision line, you aussies and us leftys get a nicer sweep pattern

When you get it out will be interesting to see if all the components are just left hand drive?

    I'll let you know!

  15. I brought a new motor and fitted to a 74 bay, The wipers had not parked when it broke I guess. When I tested it the wipers went down, not up.
I guess they can be altered by altering the fixing as it comes out the motor.

Nip across to the sweary site vzi :) and send speedy Jim a pm.
My new motor came with different colour wires and 1 extra, he said not seen that before but still told me what wires went to where, I basically rewired my bus via him. He will know the answer to your issue.:)

I have a complete LHD wiper mech, you can buy all the parts new to rebuild yours, the park needs to be set up on the motor, its a case of a adjusting the position of the crank arm, trial and error but not to tricky

Having reviewed the evidence my money is now on right hand parts all fitting within the OZ frame,
