Are those Fiamma single tube table doodars any good?

  1. You know the one - that recessed mount in your floor and a single tube to fit in the table top? Are they good , solid or do they wobble about ? Faff to fit together?

    Many thanks

  2. Installed one earlier this year, and haven't had any problems so far...

Simple to install - although I did have to cut a hole in the floor for the recess, which made me stop and think before committing to it.

Pretty solid when put together but will wobble a bit if knocked or your five year old hangs onto the table for dear life. Then again, maybe the 50p table top I found in the Homebase timber section odds'n'sods bin is a bit too big and heavy.

  3. Thanks appreciate it - when you say cut hole in floor you mean the wooden ply on top of the metal or do you mean the metal too??? :(

  5. Yup there a good bit of kit i have one for my bus
You can also get tripod legs to fit the tube so the table can also be used outside

  6. i have one and its good enough. i have used a skim board for a table top so it will always wobble a bit as its not flat
i did not use the recessed mount as there is no way i am cutting the floor!
i used 2 of the flush fitting mounts (that fit to the table) as i would rather have the a lump on the floor than a big hole cut there
