Koni are still going, but I don't think they make them for buses any more. Oi-filled Boges are prob much the same.
Yes they are. Check this link out: http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/frame-detail.asp?PAGE=/koni-suspension.htm I plan on replacing my crappy aftermarket gas shocks with these once I have the cash.
My friend has oil filled dampers on his van and it rides much better than my gas dampers. I've also read ratwells page about koni's: http://www.ratwell.com/technical/Koni.html
Fitting my Gaz coilovers this afternoon so will feedback later. However product quality appears excellent and service spot on.
Drove to Exmouth and back this weekend to check suspension set up. New Gaz shocks spot on (talk to Mark at Gaz if interested). Sorted bouncy ride out and no more rubbing but not harsh or too firm. Put adjustable spring plates on to make sorting ride height easier. Thoroughly recommended!
Do you know what length coilovers you got and what spring rate you used? Have drop spindles and t2d coilovers, which need replacing because they are rubbish !! Looking to achieve the same ride height, but with a stronger shock. Need the coilovers to help raise it up that little bit. Do I just measure the gap between the top and bottom shock mount, and can I do this with the shocks on. Once measured how does this relate to the GAZ coilovers I want? Does the height just have to be within the extended and collapsed height of the GAZ shock?
I looked at Koni shocks as thery are adjustable and have a great reputation. Costly though: http://www.kieftenklok.net/component/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,1605/category_id,125/manufacturer_id,0/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,8/lang,en/ I ended up with a set of Boge as my van is standard height for £127 Couldn't warrant the difference in cost!
