anyone knowledgible on tyre sizes

hi - can anyone tell me if a 135x15 tyre is the same size as a 135/80x15?

80 aspect ratio is the usual standard if it isn't marked so i'd say yes.

thanks - I am after a pair of 135/80x15 tyres for my beetle. I have just seen a 135 SR 15 tyres on ebay off a smart car, but it is tubed, so I assume that means it needs an inner tube?

What's all that about - is that just for smart cars?

 

I had smart car tyres on my beetle. Never had tubes in them though.

what profile are them mate?

They look lower profile than 80s.

How is yours lowered - mine's a 72 beetle & i've just fitted dropped spindles but now the 155/80x15 tyres are rubbing when there's weight in the car - min'e standard width beam.
