Ive not had to use a VW garage so far but i need the ball joints pressing out and in, i guess it needs to be a garage use to dealing with Bays not just a VW one, im in Burford, Oxfordshire so does anyone know of a garage reasonably close? Many thanks
There's a bloke in Witney, who used to be in Eynsham. He used to be pretty good and cheap as well. I'll dig out his card tomorrow if you want?
Try vanshack 01865 731136 Not far down the road from Burford, head towards Oxford on A40, turn right at the Eynsham roundabout and then left at the next roundabout down a single track road for about 3/4 of a mile and you will see their yard on the right hand side. Good guys, know their stuff, worth giving them a call first
You'll probably be OK with vanshack doing your ball joints. Don't let them work on your engine though as I found them only interested in bigging up the amount of work needed. Mine needed the idle jet re-fitting, after 3 visits they suggested I replace the engine.... To be fair this was a good few years ago but for me these impressions stick.
