  1. Amtico pops up a lot as a good product when searching online for vinyl click flooring. I cant seem to find prices anywhere for it can you remember what you paid or where you brought it from, thanks.

I’m in Sheffield so bought from Pyramid carpets. I will try find the prices.

It’s a bit unforgiving if you’ve got uneven floors or if you’ve forgotten you’ve isolated off the new towel rad under the floor and have to cut the ply to get to it!!!!

  3. Thanks. Not as bad as my electrician mate he had just put floor boards carpet and furniture back down. And then heard the sound of the owners cat coming from under the floor. He got the cat out but I bet a lot of trades people would have taken the their money and ran.

I’ll be following this with interest as I’ve got a similar scheme in mind. My issue is two different floor surfaces as in screed in the extension right across the back of the house and timber in the original kitchen which gives us a lovely L shaped kitchen diner. Because of expansion and contraction of the floor and general movement, I’ve shied away from anything needed a glued join like regular vinyl and I’m considering this clickety lockety vinyl type. At the moment I’ve got click lock B&Q fake tile look and it’s done well in excess of ten years maybe fifteen. So Mrs Ozziedog wants new (surprise surprise) but would like genuine ceramics and I’ve said no because of the join, but this vinyl does look good but will it flex a little ? Oh she wants it to look just like ceramics or there’ll be bigso trouble.:)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, life do get a bit complicated sometimes cus dem gals:)

  6. I will keep you updated. Think i'm going to buy some from wicks they have 15% of this weekend so £17 a sq M. you can buy samples from wicks and B&Q most websites let you order a few for free but quality varies massively.

Ok thanks for that, Mrs Ozziedog did not like anything from B&Q but I hadn’t thought of Wicks so we must go and have a look, flooring supplies has been our best bet so far but it looks like it’s gonna cost loads.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, just so long as she’s happy ,, sigh:)
