In an effort to shed a couple of stone I thought I'd kick start the year joining in with dry January... Harder that I thought...I don't drink.a drop during the week and look forward to a good binge or two at the weekend.. I will do it but blimey its tough...
I thought about it, but that's as far as I got. Fair play to you if you stick it out. I must confess to a small tipple every night ................ bad habit I know
I did all October into first half of November, didn't really miss it and can leave it alone much easier now. Brewdog, Nanny state is a good alcohol free beer
Nope - I don't drink much anyway - usually only have a pint or two watching the match at the local pub - although probably will drown my sorrows and/ or be celebrating on Sunday - playing Man City so who knows. It's cake and biccys I need to stop - what month is that?
Need to drink as if Mrs P and I don't the sideboard will collapse into a heap of firewood due to the weight of bottle related christmas gifts.
Glad someone else is still hanging in there @Dazza I've done Dry January most recent years. Dont know if it really does any good but I do feel less tired and irritable in the mornings. Tonight we tried a recommended No Alcohol red wine as its called tasted of malt vinegar and blackberries, from Tesco and rated 5 stars but I'd only give it 3/10. Depending on how I go might try and keep this up until Easter, at the moment dont miss it, but Burns Night supper in a couple of weeks might be a bit more difficult, but will do that to prove a point to my wife.
I'm off out out tomoz night mate for my birthday (Monday ) but getting bang on it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not but Sarah is so I'm drinking less as not fair to say let's go to a lovely real ale pub and I ill get you a coke . Tho I had a pint of beer at the polish bar before the match tonight. Becks Blue quite nice, and Bavaria 0% also there's one that's a blonde beer that's ok. In Spain most bars had one tap which served Sin alcohol beer which was nice if you were designated driver and didn't want to drink fizzy drinks. I think it also shows the difference in attitudes towards drinking between us and the Spanish! Well done @Dazza and @Pickles
Thanks. In part it is my way of compensating for drinking too much over the rest of the year. I quite like a few glasses of wine but not missing the morning after feeling.
