  1. Hi....seem to be having problems viewing the forum properly...
    Windows 8, firefox (latest), Laptop

When i'm reading a post, If someone has quoted a previous reply, all i see is the quote (in the box) but not the new response to it....

Laptop has been glitchy recently, with slow download time, stop start buffering on youtube etc.
Could be my router, but being unable to see replies must be something this side....

    any thoughts? Ta

What does that look like? It sometimes happens, sometimes not

  3. The only problem I have is that I cannot stay logged in for more than 24 hours, even though I tick the box.
I dont know if its the forum or my computer that says no.

No problems here. I'm running Win8 & Firefox with a satellite connection

  5. I've noticed similar on tapatalk. I just assumed it was the poster messing up the quote.

  6. thanks for the test....
    That looks normal BM....it's a strange one:confused:
maybe more broadband traffic than usual coming up to Christmas....thatwould explain the download times but not the issue with this forum.....

  7. so did i at first but there's quite a few 'messed up' threads....

  8. Think I'm due for a re install....not a great fan of windows 8 tbh....too many features that I'll never use....still waiting for an open source streamline to be developed for it....

Possibly, I always space down before reply so I don't mess up like @oscar says:D. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.

@Bhubesi , Tony, if you've got private browsing activated it won't store your log in details. Likewise, I always have to log in again after the laptop has been closed down & fired up again.

    Using mac & Safari.

  10. Windows XP and Firefox... also seen posts where the quote is visible but the actual reply isn't. Like Oscar I assumed it was just poster error.

  14. I hit problems yesterday trying to post a reply on a thread, no cursor in the box to do so. No problems on any of the other forums I belong to. I run Windows 7 and haven't made any recent changes.
I thought about it, googled the problem and via several geek type forums came across suggestions that Internet Explorer 11 is causing problems viewing some websites. So I checked my update section on my PC and found that IE11 had in fact been recently installed as an automatic update.
Encouraged I then googled "IE11 problems" and found a suggestion to view the relevant website in Combatability View Settings (which can be accessed via the toolbar). I did this and problem solved!
