I've got a pair of Solex carbs that came off my 2ltr type 4. They were working but I'd say they should be refurbished going by everything else I've found on the bus. I've also got the manifolds, linkage and original airfilter box (no element) to go with them. £200 couriered? I'm near Bourne in Lincolnshire.

What about a single Weber progressive. A few people hate them I’ve enjoyed it. It’s had the jets replaced to match my rebuilt engine 2056. I found it smooth as long as you have a vac. If you don’t then you’ll have a massive flat spot.

For the little bit more I would go for the dual barrel ICT or Dells. Secondhand is fine (after a rebuild) and often better as the "new" ones are often poorer quality than the old stuff. Just pay the money once and you won't need to think about upgrading again.

Hi Jamie. I have the Solexes (32-34) I took off mine when I fitted twin40s. They're not reconditioned like Gary's so will benefit from a strip and clean. They were working when I took them off last summer. Complete with manifolds, original black plastic air filter box (no filter) and linkage (one adjuster has been welded so could do with being replaced). £100 the lot + £10 courier. If they're of interest gimme a shout and I'll post pics. I'm near Bourne, Lincs.
Also have a progressive twin choke Weber, complete kit as new - you'd just need inlet manifold gaskets. £150 + postage/courier.
