Weld flew in my ear 12 days ago ,I have http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Perforated-eardrum/Pages/Introduction.aspx I can hold my breath and the ear whistles ,cool trick... After 4 day I went to see the Docteur he gave me anti biotic`s and ear drop ,I have 4 days supply left... But I am in pain most of the time ,I take pain killers and ibuprofen every four hours.... Should this dam ear be getting better now? Is it another visit with the quack?
I've had a burst ear drum, the pain is horrendous but I just had to live with it. Was about two weeks before it improved
fink i said on your other thread , you need really strong anti biotics for ears , mine took quite a while , as if it gets infected it goes all pappy . Sympathise , bleedin erts dont it. No divin for you for a while . Take care , bern will give you the run down no doubt .
A word of caution. Once you've had a bust ear drum, a few years later don't go scuba diving followed by a hot air ballon ride the next day. It kinda hurts!
do you want some of mine i get it every day , and not in the ear , i have to take my mind off it thou , ibuprofen n others buggas other stuff up if you arnt careful
Because I am lifting heavy things [work]my back usually hurts a LOT, but the ear has won the pain war...
Often an infection causes the perforation, hence the antibiotics. They will sort out the infection but the perforation will take a good few weeks to heal. Dafalgan is paracetamol , so what you are doing with them and the ibuprofen is fine. I guess the GP could give you some stronger pain killers and maybe check if the infection has cleared up. I would wait until you have finished the course.
Mrs lef has lots of drugs, I get them from her... Do you think drinking a bottle of red wine a night does anything counter productive?
