Another bunch of stuff sat in my cupboard 18 months…

Will finally be getting round to doing my twin carb kit install this summer between festivals…
    I have a few questions:

    1) do the barb fittings and blanking plugs need ptfe tape to seal properly ? and if so any special type…
    2) I bought a malpassi as I didn’t like the look of the quality on the pressure regulator I have fitted. Is that the preferred way to go or should I use the huco ive been hoarding and remove my facet pump from down below?
    3) I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge at the moment, can anyone recommend a suitable set up to use please ?

Who knows? What are those two pumps rated at?

Facet pump is 4psi and I'm using it with an unbranded rotary knob type of regulator I just dont like the look of at the moment.
    Similar in apperance to this.

Huco is supposed to be a low pressure ... 2.1 psi suction pump supposed to be mounted in the engine bay... wasnt sure on having a pump positioned there so had a malpassi as a back up.
I recall a little about a fitted malpassi leaking at Techenders so wondered it the fittings were taped or just bare ...

The tapered fittings on the Malpassi needed taping up.

You can put a low pressure pump in without any regulator if you are sure the pump is producing about 2psi..

The choice is yours, fit either but not both.
