Well, it's all out, all change here at Casa Del Terrordale. After 12 months of vainly attempting to sell the house we decided a couple of months ago to put it up for auction. The auction was on Saturday & to cut a long story short it sold fror very nearly what we wanted After the auction Ms.T, eldest & only unmarried daughter & I adjourned to a local restaurant to celebrate with a lunch & a few glasses of bubbly. While we were sitting back in the gardens of the restaurant enjoying a couple of large Armagnacs & a rather nice cigar for me, the young owner of the restaurant asked if my T3/T25 was for sale. I replied that everything was for sale at that right price (which earned me a double clip on the ear from Ms.T & eldest& only unmarried daughter ). So I asked if he was interested & he was & made an offer for more than I was ready to ask. Deal done & with a skip in my step I delivered the white wedge to him on Sunday morning, he's over the moon & pleased to have an 8 seat microbus to shuttle his clients home if they over indulge in his rather nicely stocked wine cellar. It wasn't until I got home that Ms.T pointed out that the wedge had been my daily drive & how was I going to get to & from work. Not a problem says I, I'll take the camper (Mr.Smartypants ). There we are all sorted says I. *insert smug mode* That was until Ms.T pointed out to me that the camper was booked into the mechanics & panel beaters to get the rust done, the pop top removed & repaired, the interior ripped out. Oh dear says I, what a terrible mistake. Anyway I took the camper up to the mechanics today for it's restoration to be started whilst still wondering what I was going to use for transport for the foreseeable future. I'm sure something will turn up, sooner or later (hopefully sooner). Anyhoo, the outcome of this is that I drove home in his T4 2.5litre van which I bought at a decent price & with the proviso that if I leave the sign writing on it he will service it for no charge for me. Win, win I'd say. Ms.T isn't totally sure that it's the right vehicle for us but as I pointed out it's me that drives it not her (this also earned me a clip in the ear ) So in short we now have to find somewhere to live in the short term until we can buy somewhere else to buy, I've got a new toy & the camper is going to be refurbished.
Not been up to much then eh!? Congratulations on all of it, now you just need to get that daughter married off
Great stuff...you could always live in the T4 (missus or dogs...you may have to choose, if space is limited )
I do like a man who makes decisions at the same rate of knots as me. Why put off til tomorrow what you can buy/sell/sort out today Good news Don!
I did suggest that, the response was some what lukewarm. I have been warned that should I start looking at evilbay certain parts of my anatomy will be removed
