In fairness, I would need to know more, I’m not going to condemn her on the strength of one article in one newspaper. I might end up doing that but not because of one piece in a newspaper. All newspapers, left leaning or right leaning, have their own agendas.

I know Baz. I have been listening to R4 just now and there was a government minister on saying if she does come back she has to accept there will be consequences. She might provide a lot of useful info about the mindset of people who become radicalised, who knows.

 

If we let her return I think it sends out the wrong message,

Her first 2 children died of malnutrition. She is now heavily pregnant, she has been gone 4 years. Didn't have much time for fighting surely. Maybe she was on a marole boosting exercise ? Keep her out. If she comes back she will cost a fortune with the brat and being inside.

 

Well another approach would be that ISIS caused untold misery for ordinary people out there, she should have to stay and serve those communities in some way. Rightly or wrongly, we may not legally be able to prevent her from returning. That would require a change in the law. I might be wrong, I’m not sure what the legal situation is. Wasn’t there a similar thing with British folk of Kurdish heritage going out to Syria to fight against ISIS then wishing to return to the UK?

 

I’m pretty sure the government can revoke your passport in exceptional circumstances.

If we do have to let her back in I hope they’ve got the balls to torture the Marmite outta her for a few months, get out any useful info from her, then make her disappear. Surely we can tell her she’s flying home and accidentally divert the plane to some secret location. If we can’t do simple things like make evil people disappear you’ve gotta wonder what the point of government is.
