Am/fm aerial spring style

Hi All,

I am looking for the type of aerial pictured below with the spring at the base, if anybody knows where to buy this type please let me know as so far im struggling to find one!

I did idly look and there are vertical mount aerials not with springs on eBay for VW.

 

I wasn't very impressed with the one I bought from C+C, it doesn't fully retract so you've got 8 inches sticking out, not brilliant if you use a van cover!.

 

When my little rubber helical spring aerial fell off, I drilled a hole in the stump and epoxied in the bent back end of one of those stainless steel strips used to stiffen a windscreen wiper blade. The top end I bent into a circle to make it less pointy.
Its a bit floppy but you can put a cover on it, and if it gets too damaged there are always more windscreen wiper blades.

 

I can buy a aerial without a spring easy enough, just trying to find one with a spring as I use a cover and it should stop some idiots trying to bend/ snap it

 

Have you tried looking at vespa/Lambretta aerials a mate of mine has spring aerials on his bike.

I don't know why I even have an aerial, the radio works on one stuck on the windscreen.
