Air shocks

  1. Hi all, just looking at the options for the front of my bus as I like it low but would like to lift it to drive it. So looking at air shocks just for the front as I like the raked look.

I can find the kits out there from various distributors but all I'm after is the struts so I can make the rest of the kit up to what I'm after so my question is does any know what model Monroe air struts fit the front of a bay?

    Cheers David

  2. Sorry I can't help. But it's a cool idea. :)

  3. Maybe this is blasphemous but theres a few people on the E a r l y bay forum running air shocks. Might be an idea to have a quick peek over there for a few minutes.

Sorry you'll have to explain that a bit more, shocks don't set the height of the ride? Are talking about some sort of air ride system just on the front?

  5. shock mounts were not designed to carry the weight of the bus

  6. Looked on e a r l y b a y and can't get a clear answer. The shock mounts won't be carrying the full weight of the van these air shock are still dampers but they give assisted lift that works with the original springs. It's a pretty common practice out there these days I'm just struggling to find the correct struts for a late bay. I have emailed summit racing in the u s of a just waiting for an answer.

  7. You can pick up cheap compressors for them from the scrappy off a range rover. ;)
