Air Filter Support Bracket

  1. Evening all,

Hopefully I will be in a position to fit my engine back into my bus in the next few weeks and my new engine has twin carbs fitted. Engine is twin port 1600 with ICTs

Do I need to cut of the metal air filter bracket off to fit the it now with twin carbs or is it just more hassle to fit because its in the way?

I have had conflicting advice so I thought I would ask for some more on here :)

Chop it off if you're not going to use it,it'll get in the way

  3. Carefully cut the bracket off. It will get in the way. You can always weld it back on if you change your mind.

  4. Thanks guys, I think the way forward would be to cut it carefully just in case things don't work out.

This probably will be the first of many questions as the bus is finally getting back together after a year off the road!
