  1. New to VWAC. I'm starting to build a T4 DTM conversion for a KG. Its like a dream I've read somewhere there are both 8mm and 10mm is this correct, what size would fit T4 2.0? I'm assuming its 10mm?

I'd like to fit the above first then fit probably a trimmed version of these.

    Thanks for reading this

Top pic is for a type 1 and would probably need a quite a bit of modification to fit, if it could be made to fit at all. Type 4 head stud diameters is 8mm. Bottom pic is type 4 and would fit without modifications.

  3. thank you. I'm going to attempt to fit both,t he T1 would give an increased back pressure but not the direction the T4 tin offers.

So is there only one size? 8mm? do you know off the top of your head the T4 stud dia. in that area?

I don’t see how you can fit two sets of cylinder tins or what purpose it would serve it you could. Why do you want to increase back-pressure? It’s the flow of air that cools the cylinders and heads, if you introduce back-pressure won’t the air flow decrease?

Type 4 head studs are 8mm but the spacing is not the same as a type 1 (type 1 deflectors are clipped between the studs, type 4 are fixed to the head and crankcase).
