Hello All, I'm moving away to Oz in October for a year and I'm leaving my beloved '76 Bay "Sonny" behind... I was planning on storing him in the in-laws back garden but I thought that I might be able to send him out to work while I'm away. From my Google searching I have found that there are plenty of rental companies out there who have their own fleet of vehicles but I haven't yet seen anyone who would manage the rentals of my bus for me. So, the query is.... Does anyone know of an agency type company who could help me with this? And if not, are there any other alternatives out there that I should be thinking about....? Cheers...
Insurance will be you biggest barrier, but like you say there are a few 'agencies' around. Give your local VW companies a call - see what they say.
There was a bloke on here ages ago advertising a rental agency type thing. I wouldn't want to leave mine for a year though in someone elses care. Take it with you!! There can't be many better places to have a camper!?
If it is "beloved" dont do it - when you see her again with bits missing/broken the money you earnt won't make it worthwhile...
