Been having fun (with help from Fugly76) up at the lock up..... Thought the starter motor was duff, but after a fettling it decided to work, so gave the engine it's first firing up since fitting in the bus... All good so far....next thing to do was fit the new driveshafts and test was the gearbox...so pushed and shoved the bus out onto the driveway and took her for a tentative wobble down the track.... All still good so decided on a cheeky run down the street to check all the gears and just for the hell of it too! Happy bunny! Never attempted an engine and box install single handed before and it all works! Next stop MOT .....maybe next week, work permitting.

Just happy that my £350 091 gearbox wasn't a lemon! Which was more than could be said for my £670 'running' engine with knackered heads!
Well Mr Bobdogs, if you do have to push this one anytime soon the heated rear window will keep your hands warm
