A Sunday waffle Well this week as been quite busy , i have mangaged to sort my handbrake cable problem , it was'nt as straight forward as i had hoped and took days rather than minutes , in the end i compromised rather than try to feed the cable through a bent and twisted steel shieve i did away with the old through the chassis part and underslung a new plastic bit below the chassis , then the brake lights were sorted , new connectors were the order of the day , finally the horn needed fitting and wiring up , this again was a pigs ear of a job by the po , he had fitted a after market steering wheel but omitted to use the lower connector boss , so although the horn did look earthed , it was'nt as the wandering connnector was'nt connected to anything , faux pau on his behalf me thinks , up shot of this week is , i need to put the back plate on the drivers side front wheel , reconnect the os drive shaft and replace the ball joint gaiters all round and she's ready for the dreaded mot , i have this week off nd in between gardening jobs i will try n get it all sorted , Wish me luck .
