A question or two about your exhaust

Our 70 has this leaking muffler & I'm thinking of swapping it out for a 'peashooter' from a beetle,
Has any of done this? I know I may have to trim the rear apron some which I'm ok with, I started pulling the baffles out of the peashooter, I want/need our to be a little tougher & have a bigger bark.

 

Don't think there's any reason why you can't fit a peashooter, apart from clearance issues. Buy one with tubes that rattle, and you'll have that nice VW "whistle" noise...

 

I'm trying to stay away from that

 

If the peashooters won't fit, cut your old tailpaipes in half and make 2 bent ones.
