    Hi
Can anyone tell me or show me a photo of how the a post bottom attaches to the crossmember? I have all the parts and I know how the panels sit together but I don’t know where all the welds go...

This bit? The odd u-shaped bit sits inside the valance, and is then welded to both:
    • the a pillar (seam weld you can see along the bottom, and the plug welds up the back).
    • The valance (seam weld you can see along the back, and plug welds at the bottom). I believe I also plug welded it to the top part of the valance in a similar fashion.

Yes that’s the bit. I have the 3 piece repair kit and have assembled all 3 bits but the old one is so corroded that I can’t see where all the welds go. This is a great help-it’s kind of how I pictured it, is this welded the same as the old one came apart?
    Cheers @JamesLey

Yeap, identical to the original. Managed to find some pics of our heavily rusted original. You can see the u shaped bit sat inside the valance. I used it to position the a pillar repair before chopping it out. I wasn’t so lucky on the other side though.
