Hi All, It's been a while, but the interior of Berpit (now Lola) is really happening. I know you like your photos so here goes, Jackie (the Wife) has sent me these over this morning. More to follow when they get installed over the weekend, including the front seats & buddy to match. Diamonds are forever, or so they say
& here's something totally unrelated, a bit of Bastion this morning, the first time it's snowed & settled since records began or so I'm told - In fairness that's about 14 years, but even so it was 21 deg C on Friday & now it very much isn't.
Thankfully, I should/WILL be back home in just over 2 weeks - Doncaster. I have my tickets for SpringDub with a bit of cash she knows nothing about in my pocket, so hopefully should be expensive fun
Thanks All - I'm told the front seats are happening today & the installation should be complete, also getting the Propex Heater fitted, so all go (for the Wife anyway). Here's another couple of photos taken from MB Trims Facebook posting last night plus a few others showing the before & after transformation. Only 10 days to go to actually seeing, smelling & touching (& yes I am talking about the seats...) - Enjoy!
I wouldn't call that limping, I'd call it finishing strongly. Is your missus making the decisions on colour and style or are you able to do it together?
Cheers Sandy, nope I'm to blame. As much as she loves the van (or at least she will when the front seats are finally fitted (should have been last night but that's another story)) she flatly refuses to drive it, which leads me onto my next question... Which gear shift is the best out there, ie. the one that may tempt her to drive the van, I don't want to get clouded by the cost I'd rather worry about that later, I would just appreciate your feedback & knowledge in spades - Cheers one & all!
I'm impressed with your choice of colours and styles then. You must be a little bit gay to have such good taste. I'm a firm believer that the women won't drive the busses because they're smarter than we are. They get to drink when you're out and sleep when you're on the way home. So the standard gear shift is perfectly ok.
I clicked 'like' but would like to state here & now that ours' is not "an Elton marriage", the only thing bent will be my ear when she finds out what the Gear Shifter has cost. Your second point is bang on though, on our last excursion they all slept in the back from Cornwall to Doncaster with the exception of the oblidatory van breaks when they miraculously woke up, got fed & watered and did it all again - Eat Sleep Repeat / Eat Sleep Repeat / Eat Sleep Repeat
& finally we have seats!! This will be the last update I'll bore you all with, we're not 100% as you'll see, but pretty damn close & I'm hoping they look as good in the flesh. Roll on Thursday...
