A list of spares to carry for your camper

Following on from the tool kit list for your VW camper, here is a spares list that we have compiled. I'm sure we've managed to forget something so please let us know and we will update as we have with the Tool Kit.

Here is the spares list for VW campers.

 

Spark plug's will be added to the list.

and torch batteries ,oh lordy me, it"s 2am i"m "lay by"d, it"s raining , and im underneath working by "feel" cos the batts. are , well ,dead !

 

Condoms?

 

Does engine oil and brake fluid belong in the list?

 

I am so glad somebody has compiled an actual edited list rather than just having to read though a thread full of ideas. Well done G and thanks as i will be using this list and the other one.

An in line fuel filter. Small but essential to some.

What are your thoughts on the brake fluid and filter?

I would have thought if you're in need of brake fluid it would be quite a serious issue requiring more than just the fluid. Unless it's just a top up but you check that at your regular services and before every long trip don't you? .

thanks for that, was going to ask for pretty much that exact information, and now i dont have to..

and i have all those things, so WIN!

 

windscreen wiper blades, appropriate relay(s), and something that saved me from a long walk home >a giant crocidle clip (neccesity being the mother of invention !), but it done the job !

 

I find lists like this a bit all or nothing personally. I can't be arsed with all, so it's nothing for me. I might make an exception for points as they do fall to bits unexpectedly from time to time and don't take up space.

I like to think my van is maintained. If you suspect one of these spares will be needed, why not change it before you set off?

 

i like to think my bus is well maintained, feel free to disregard my own suggesstion(s), keep your bus so well maintained you will never have to carry any spares,(you will never , ever break down !) if you do not carry spares , your bus will be less heavy , ergo, recovery co. will luv u ? AND! all repair /maintenance voltswagen companies will go bust very soon.P.S. , go on, ask me why i carry a HUGE crocodile clip !> i know, u could not make it up, (fuel is optional )
