Very nice tuesday_wildchild halfords sell a glue just for this but can't remember the name of it. But I remember it was about a fiver. I have to get some when mine arrives but did not come in today.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Ps where are you sticking yours. I am still in debate about where to put mine.

 

Harris numberplate tape is also good for sticking them on (available in Halfords) - just cut it into little pieces and stick to the back of the letters.

 

I won't be sticking ruby anywhere until I get her on the road and as for Christine the jury is still out.

 

Mine just had a spray job last year at severe expense so might put mine on the glove box door cover for starters. As I don't want to mess about with heavy duty adhesive on the paint.

Just a thought.

Decisions decisions..

 

Is the tape double sided as have never used it. Will google it now cheers for the heads up.

 

I'd probably go with adhesive. I know Bay ownership carries along with it some camaraderie but not all VW owners are honest. Some may even be thieving scumbags and they could end up on any vehicle. Sticky tape would not afford the security in my opinion. I have a Volkswagen one but the name ones could go anywhere!.

 

Yes it is - it's double sided tape with about 1mm foam in the middle.

Mine came today but was sent to my dads house. Will pop down tomorrow and pic kit up. Can't wait. Looking good so far guys

 

Finally opened the package as it came today and looks awesome. Think I might put it on e rear tailgate.

Us too. but dog thats not strictly speaking true ...... we both have the buses.....just not in the right state of repair ... am almost tempted just to stick it on anyway

 

He done a good job and will be a nice finishing touch.

 

Finally put mine up. On the glove box lid for now.

 

So sad I didn't hear about these "before" he took the last orders Anyone know of anyone else doing something similar?

Hi there PeaSoup there is a guy on the UK eBay site doing some but not specific letters but has things like. KAMPER and TYPE_TWO.

Don't know them but they do look quite good. Although not as cheap about 13 pounds plus shipping. PM if you need a link.
