I have had Camping Gaz leak at the seal when they didn't come from Eddie's.. I used to have one on the boat, the canister swung from the cooker and it was all held together by screwing on the canister. Many years ago it was condemned by a surveyor and replaced with an Origo methylated spirits stove. Especially as on a sailing boat when you hit waves its sometimes like maybe opening up a canal boat full tilt and hitting a concrete wall head on.. and repeat. The one that leaked did it without any abuse, as soon as I fitted it it leaked from a hardened rubber seal. That's the other job of the screw in handle protecting the seal from weathering when its sitting in the crate outside the shop.
A friend of mine got one (not Eddie’s) and it was fine until he put the regulator on and then took it off. The ball bearing seemed to not seal correctly and therefore leaked. Pretty scary as you could hear it *******ing out.
