eBay Link - Removed Time has come to sell my pride and joy. 1979 Volkswagen T2 Bay Window Panel Van. Full bodywork renovation has taken place. This includes the lower 1/3 have been replaced with new panels, jacking points, battery tray, rear cross member, full front clip, plus much more. To finish this off the van has been fully resprayed In yellow and white. I would describe the condition as excellent. Mechanically the can has also undergone much work. The engine was new built 1914cc with 110 cam and twin webber 44idf, full flow oil and remote cooler, serviced and well maintained. Coupled to a cog box built freeway flyer gearbox. 4th hear is longer up give a better cruising speed and revs. Brand new vintage speed sports flow exhaust. There is plenty of power and mid range torque. It drives and sounds fantastic. The van is lowered, to a useable level. The front beam is on adjusters and uses T2d shocks and bushes designed for lowered vehicles. The rear uses red9 design modified spring plates. The steering beam/arm and bushes were replaced 12 months ago so all nice and tight. Handles and drives far better than a standard set up. Rear brakes have been rebuilt, new backing plates, cylinders and handbrake cables. Brand new heritage supplied polished Fuchs alloys and tyres. No advisories on the MOT. The interview is a custom comfortable design. The front seats are from a Porsche and the 3/4 width rock and roll bed have all been trimmed in black and orange. Rubber floor mat and trimmed to waist height. A blank canvas to personalise. Units can be fitted or can be kept as a day van with plenty of room for a bike or board. Radio with 3.5mm jack socket, SD Card fitted with speakers front and rear. Selling only because I do not have the time to enjoy it and take it to the shows. It is a real head turner and not to be missed. All work has been carried out at great expense so you won't need to under take any of it.
