79 drivers seat stuck

I'm stripping down a 79 Devon Moonraker and can't get the seat out. The runners nearest the drivers door seems rusted solid & I have doused with penetrating oil which has released the locking lugs but still nothing moving.

New to VW's so are there only 1 set of lugs to hold each track in the runners and any ideas on how to get the seat out?

Appreciate any advice.

There’s a little notch type latch that holds it in place along the side of the seat, a block of wood and hammer are you friends

As above, block of wood and some violence should shift it. There's one small catch on the driver's seat that needs lifting, then it should slide right off.

 

Yeah the violence worked wonders when I had to taken mine out
