Hi, I've decided to sell this project as I realise that after it sitting in storage for a couple of years, I'll never get round to doing it. She's a '72 model year bay with a Dormobile roof and some/most of what I assume is a Dormy interior. I'm not a Dormobile expert, but they are the cutest of poptops in my opinion! The body has had a lot of work before I got it. A lot of it good, some less so but it is a decent base for a nice solid van. Work that has been done: New rear wheel arch tubs New front wheel arch tubs New cargo floor New cab floor New rear valance 2nd hand front clip 2nd hand '72 only front outer arch doglegs 2nd hand offside centre panel (off a deluxe as it has holes in!) 2nd hand rot free front beam from a LHD van '72 only rear lower corners (with the little blister for mounting the bumper steady brackets) Not so good: Cab doors and sliding door need work Some glass is missing Roof gutter joint above driver's door is not done well (pic), that said the gutters otherwise look excellent. Some awful filler on n/s rear arch No engine, gearbox lights or wiring loom Someone has spent a bit of time removing the spare wheel well and converting it to a space for a leisure battery and fitting a large engine top hatch from a T25. Take a look at the photos, as they give an honest flavour of the condition - if you need any more just message me. I had a HPI check done when I bought it which shows no issues, V5 present in my name. Obviously, the van will be tax and MoT exempt. If you would like to have a look then this can be arranged at a mutually convenient time. To summarise, I bought this because I thought it was worth saving and would make a nice camper and I love my cross-overs. I have a type 4 engine and gearbox of unknown condition and a better (not perfect) sliding door that can be included by separate negotiation. I had planned to fit these.
