35 year old smells

I've taken out the silica beads I keep in the van to help keep the moisture out during the winter.

Just put them in a pan to dry them out ready to go back in the van and now the whole house smells like the inside of the van.

It's amazing what can make you smile!

 

i love the smell of the bus and the bug. always makes me smile when i first get in - like the first time i bought them.
where did you get silica beads from? i use those moisture trap things which aren't re useable

 

hmmmm - lovely smell, just like the smell of the inside of my dogs ears on a wet day

 

my dogs get honey ears where they smell like honey obviously hahaha x

 

Love the smell of Wilma, I was a bit worried when she had her resto, all the interior had been taken out and redone and cleaned,would it smell like a VW? After putting all back in and running it around for a bit that lovely oil, petrol and VW y smell came back!

 

You can get the beads in bulk from eBay. Somewhere on here is a link. I'll have a look.

 

Yeah, got mine from eBay. I think I posted the link on non shiny TLB.

They are just orange beads that turn green when they are full of moisture. Shove them in a pan for about 10 minutes and they are good to go again.

Perfect for a not perfectly sealed van.

That's them! Loads selling them so just look for the best deal. Think I got mine from china, half the price and still only took about a week to get here.
