Of work........ :mwave: :moon: Funny thing is I always get restless in the christmas break.... > I have two jobs on my mind.... 1. change the pickups rear axle... 2. knock a door [from the house to the garage]and build a platform ,later I am going to put the kitchen up there... The misses wants me to do number 2 and I want to do number 1.... maybe I can squeeze in both.... Has anyone else got any dilemmas over Christmas or are you all relaxing?... :beer_yum:
I don't finish until 24th, most annoying, we always are allowed to go around 1pm on the last day but because it's after a weekend going in for a morning seems a bit harsh, i have loads of jobs to do on the van over xmas so will have 25/26 at home then go into work and work on the van in the dry from the 27th, we don't go back to work until the day after new years day.
I only work part time, so finish at lunchtime tomorrow, not returning till 2nd Jan. (but obviously only get paid for part time so that's the downside, before you get jealous!). Don't think I've had this long off for Xmas for years! Other than a funeral on Friday and visiting my Mum dahn saff on Saturday, I've got nothing planned really - perhaps I ought to be planning something to make good use of the time (though I might start making some stained glass puffins...). Feel sorry for anyone who only has a short break and during it they have to rush here, there and everywhere, seeing all their relations.
Finish Friday 2pm till weds 2nd. Socialising Sunday, Monday , tues, weds, doing some excersize on Thursday! Biggest job over the hols is to track down the man who is currently renting an empty v large garage locally and see if I can persuade him to let me take it over.
Finished today I don't go back until the end of January for the enrolment days at college Ms.T is working Xmas Day so not sure what I'll get up to, probably spend most of the day snoozing on the sofa
Self-employed contractor here, so time off = lost money. The flip side is that the company I'm contracted to are in the Isle of Man, so as they finish at 1pm on Christmas Eve, which is an hour before my start time (7am) here in Utah, I'll be forced to not work (shame, I know! )) as the computer servers will be asleep for Christmas! Back in on the 27th, though - well, back in my office area anyway O0 Rallywife had holiday to use before the end of the year (use them, or lose them), so she had last Friday off, and finishes tomorrow until the 27th, too. Her employers give them Christmas Eve off, but Boxing Day doesn't exist as a holiday over here, so she's going to take that from her holiday allowance every year now, while I still get the day off.
