  1. What lighting have you wired in to your 240v hook up in your van?

i have all my stuff running 12v through the ctek so if on hook up it uses the ctek slaved through the leisure battery, if i did want a 240v light i'd just plug a lamp in, no point hardwiring a 240v item in if it can't be used unless static.

  3. My interior is being done now and I've gone all 12V so the lighting works on hook up and with a leisure battery. If you get a Voltage converter you don't need worry about separate 240V lighting.

Agree with Ricky, you always have the option of some 240V sockets and can run anything extra you need from those.

  4. I carry a flourescent lead light but keep in the van more for maintenance and as a handy place to store it, although I would use it sometimes when on hook up. In future though I am going the same way as Ricky. There is a perfectly good 12v lamp in the back of the bus, I just need to get my leisure battery and CTEK all wired up. Then I will have the 12v system fed by 240v hook up and still have the option of using the lead light should I need extra light e.g. to look in the engine bay.

  5. Another for- 12v from the leisure battery when on hook up the the mains charges the leisure battery the lights run off it :)

  6. go for 12v LED lighting

it uses hardly any power and can be used at any time not just when connected to the mains

  7. What charger do you use that connects permanently to your leisure battery?

  10. Look on this page. I got the PMS3, last 2 items on this page:

    http://www.jaccampers.co.uk/electrical_control_units.htm

It acts as a mains distribution unit as well as a power converter for your 12V system while on hook up with several separate 12V outlets available. It also charges the leisure battery while on hook up.
