1974 bay window horn wireing

  1. Hi there , I'm trying to sort the horn out on my bus ,I've installed a new horn as terminal was broken off the original one , I have put the brown wire and the black and yellow wire on the horn , at the steering column coming out the same harness under the bus there is another brown wire broken off ? , this is we're I'm lost , I've looked at some diagrams that show a wire from the outer tube of the steering column going down that way but there's no clip looks like there was once but again broken off , how could I easily sort this out a diagram would be good cheers paul

  4. its a common problem,
    mine has another push switch on the dash as it was too hard for a p/o to sort out ...
    i will have to check the wiring colours on a wiring diagram

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

    The connector is up inside the steering column.
    The circuit uses the outer column as a wire so it's insulated from the van body. If you've lost the connector, you can fix the wire to the outside of the column with a short self tapper. If you fix, "round the back" you wouldn't see it but it may not be so easy drilling a hole.
