Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by GONA66, Aug 26, 2019.

  1. People usually start with ," It is with much sadness I've decided to sell...……….."
    But no, not I, !
It is with great pleasure and pride ,I've decided to put the "Flagbus" up for sale , it has been a great pleasure owning and driving this latebay over the last 4 yrs.
This bay is totally rot free , no rust and NEVER been welded .
Originally starting life in Arizona USA, it was imported in 2009 and re-commissioned to the road by it's new owner who thoroughly went through the brakes ,suspension, bearings, engine ancillaries and fuel system .Engine was rebuilt. Type 4 1700.
At this stage in it's life it was hand painted in all the countries it had been or visited apart from the drivers door which was finished in the flag of Peru as a gesture to the then owners nanny who came from there.
The "Flagbus" was purchased by me (as the owner was emigrating abroad) in the winter of 2015/2016 and drove the 200 miles to it's new home without fault.
Since then I have spent many hours and many pounds £ ,improving and personalizing it to how it stands today.

1, New interior with new foam.
2, New 170 amp leisure battery with split charge.
3, New propex heating system, directed to front cab and rear seating with diverter to adjust 3 way.
    4, New Waeco CRX50 Fridge/Freezer.
5, Genuine vw front cab mat.
6, CSP shifter and re-bushed gear linkage.
7, Full set 2012/13 Beetle retro alloy wheels with trims, new 225/50 x17 tyres, with correct hub bolts and spacers.
    8, Numerous smaller parts !

The Flagbus has been regulary serviced once a year all receipts available.

This will sleep 5 persons, having the original cab bunk that fits over the front seats .
As standard this Westfalia has a working sink with a removable waste fitted underneath with all pipework, wardrobe with mirror, a full set of quality curtains with tie backs ,table ,overhead storage and more storage under buddy seat and bed.
Working heater to windscreen, and plumbed in fire extinguisher in engine compartment.
Stereo radio cassette /CD player with 4 speakers.
Fully working Westfalia Towbar and electrics.

Starts 1st time every time (electronic ignition) and has never let me down in the nearly 5 yrs of ownership and will be sold with a Full M.O.T with no advisories.
This bay has been kept in 100% dry, ventilated, double cavity (insulated) garage and is never put away wet.
Obviously the paint scheme may not be to everybody's liking , but it put's smiles on peoples faces and gets recognition where ever it goes , however this could easily be changed .
At the end of the day I don't need the money or the room, but it would be nice for someone else to enjoy this super solid 100% reliable bus.

    Asking £ 17,950.
