16 inch empi alloys advice

Wondering if you can help?

I’m contemplating buying some used 5 spoke 16 inch empi alloys. 5x112

A couple of questions, will these fit without rubbing on the rear arches? (Van is not lowered)

I’m running it on the standard engine, will these make much of a difference weight wise and slowing the van down?

Are you sure they’re 16”?

Whether they rub depends on the wheel width, offset and the tyre size but unless they’re very wide they won’t rub. I wouldn’t worry about the weight; it won’t be significantly different to whatever wheel and tyre combo you currently have.

What’s a standard engine? 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0l are all standard capacities.

 

These are 5.5 x 15” et20 EMPI copies with 195/70x15 tyres, the bus is lowered a couple of inches.

 

Most (if not all) 5 spoke EMPI alloys are 15"

Seeing as your van is not lowered they will not rub
