12 volt power supply and leisure battery install

    I really like how you integrated the old Westy charger/mains/12v module (not sure what they call it). I did mine in a similar way but by passed this module completely as it was very hard to get to. It’s just there for show now, which is a bit of a shame. @theBusmonkey was my guru / inspiration. As was @mikedjames. I went for a tidy 240v AC to 12v dc converter for my original camp mobile deluxe/Berlin absorption fridge. Got it from Maplin for a bargain before they closed down. Will probably go down the solar roof panel route to top up leisure battery for when I’m off mains hook up in the future at some point.

    Just noticed the picture .. I hope the mains wire from that socket is routed so it doesnt melt or crush down as the insulation softens.. And the socket probably goes a bit soft when you park up in the services after a motorway run.
    Around the tinware can get pretty hot.

    Good shout. I always plug in as soon as I arrive on site and havn’t noticed any issues yet.
